Lately I've been addicted to this game called Epic Battle Fantasy 3. 
It's an online single-player game. You'll need flash. The game description doesn't give credit to how detailed and fun it is. It's not an action game, but your walk around, get treasure, and encounter monsters/bosses to battle (think more Pokemon than Mario). Along the way, you can interact with NPC's and fulfill quests. You can collect points and other items, build your experience/skill levels, and "buy" new items.
You probably guessed already that it's the 3rd in a series. I actually started with 3, then checked out 1 and 2. Truthfully, going back to #1 and #2 was a little boring compared to #3. You can see how the artist and game creator really made great progress over the years as he built each one. #3 has great art; I love the environments and monsters! It also has an amazing detail to the game detail; there's so much to do!
I know the instructions seem really complicated at first, but you'll get the hang of it after going around and playing and re-checking the manual multiple times! Don't give up!
